About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position also supports a positive store culture, store recovery and safety, and the store’s shrink reduction goals.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
