About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging with customers and following customer experience principles. The role also maintains a clean and organized store, adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards, and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. This is a temporary position at the Marshalls store in Centerville, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor accurately, following company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
