About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The associate adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position includes cashiering, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise, maintaining sales-floor recovery and cleanliness, and supporting store safety and shrink-reduction goals. The associate works with customers, peers, and supervisors while contributing to a positive store culture.

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the company merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
