About The Position
Robinson Oil is seeking a detail-oriented Retail Accounting Clerk to join our corporate accounting team. Working from our corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, this full-time role serves as a key liaison between our accounting department and retail locations, helping ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of daily store activity.
Requirements
- 2+ years previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/Teams; ability to learn new systems quickly
- Solid data entry and 10-key skills with a high level of accuracy
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma required
Nice To Haves
- some college or accounting coursework preferred
Responsibilities
- Review daily store reports and validate against exception reports
- Research and resolve credit card retrieval and discrepancy requests
- Reconcile store accounts and general ledger activity
- Process accounts payable transactions
- Prepare reports and proactively review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Partner with store managers to resolve accounting questions and discrepancies
- Support month-end closing activities and audit preparation as needed.
