About The Position

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring part-time Restaurant Spares to work at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The role works across a variety of front-of-house duties, including bussing, serving, and bartending, while providing exceptional guest service and maintaining fine dining standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This is a tipped position; the stated hourly minimum pay does not include potential tipped earnings. TD Garden is a sports and entertainment arena owned and operated by Delaware North. It is home to the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics and hosts more than 200 events annually, welcoming over 3.5 million visitors. The position requires flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical duties include carrying trays weighing up to 35 pounds and standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions throughout a shift.

Requirements

At least 1 year of front-of-house restaurant experience, specifically bussing, serving, and bartending, in a high-volume or fine-dining setting.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Ability to lift, balance, and move food trays weighing up to 35 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions; the work may involve walking up and down stairs.
Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.

Responsibilities

Check in with management for daily assignments and attend pre-shift briefings, noting relevant service, food and beverage, and guest information.
Greet guests, answer questions, make recommendations, and provide an outstanding dining experience.
Accurately take food and beverage orders and serve them according to premium service standards.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with company policies and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, bars, service stations, equipment, utensils, tables, chairs, and floors.
Remove used dishes, silverware, glassware, and linens from guest tables and return them to designated dishwashing and sorting areas.
Reset tables, bars, and service stations according to venue standards and management direction.
Assist with food and beverage running, guest requests, and other service-related duties.
Remove and empty trash as needed.
Assist with counting and maintaining inventory of china, glassware, silverware, barware, and linens.
