About The Position

Chelsea Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Porter to help maintain the cleanliness and organization of its kitchen and facility and support smooth food-service operations. The role involves washing and storing dishes, maintaining kitchen and shared-space cleanliness, handling waste and recycling, monitoring cleaning supplies and equipment, and reporting maintenance concerns. The position requires working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong cleanliness, health, and safety standards. Prior related experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
Availability for early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on shift schedules; weekend availability is required.
Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in dishwashing, janitorial work, or facility maintenance is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
Organize and store clean items in their designated areas.
Clean kitchen surfaces, counters, sinks, stoves, and food-preparation areas.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed.
Empty trash and recycling according to company procedures.
Monitor dishwashing detergent, cleaning supplies, and equipment; ensure supplies are stocked and equipment functions properly, and report issues to management.
Clean and organize storage rooms, hallways, and common areas.
Report plumbing, equipment, or facility concerns to management.
