About The Position

Responsible for performing simple manual work to maintain a clean and orderly bakery. The Porter/Dishwasher upholds the organization’s core values and mission while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity and standards. The position works approximately 40 hours per week and may include overnights, weekends, and holidays.

• Have manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and organize equipment, including dishes, pots, pans, tools, utensils, tables, chairs, and grease traps.
• Maintain neat working areas and employee and customer bathrooms.
• Keep bakery supplies organized and tidy.
• Assist with putting away and organizing food, paper, and other supply deliveries.
• Maintain the inside and outside of bakery grounds by sweeping and mopping floors, breaking down cardboard boxes, emptying trash, taking out recycling, and cleaning windows, doors, walls, floorboards, moldings, and baseboards.
• Transport food and other products or items from storage rooms daily.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies.
