About The Position

Requirements

  • Current food management certification.
  • Possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality.
  • Flexibility for scheduling (Flanigan’s is open 365 days per year).
  • Willingness to transfer to a different geographical location.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic math skills: ability to count currency, make change, and use a calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to stand and move at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl.
  • Coordination necessary to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Adherence to Flanigan’s policies for dress and grooming.
  • Must be 21 or over to enroll in 401K.

Nice To Haves

  • Managers may be asked to work up to 30 miles from the restaurant location you are currently applying to.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate kitchen issues with management throughout the day.
  • Read and write notes in the manager's daily log in English.
  • Attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings.
  • Read the weekly memo.
  • Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations.
  • Communicate with the manager on duty (m.o.d.) when the shift is completed.
  • Provide an accurate and honest report of all events, both positive and negative.
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings.
  • Attend quarterly supervisor meetings.
  • Order and formulate pars.
  • Facilitate proper health code standards.
  • Adhere to Flanigan’s always hiring policy and conduct interviews in a timely fashion.
  • Issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performance.
