Restaurant Leader (Manager) Trainee
About The Position
7-Eleven is hiring an emerging leader to oversee In-Store Quick Serve Restaurant operations in a fast-paced retail environment. The Restaurant Leader manages fresh food service operations, supporting an exceptional customer experience while meeting health, safety, and company standards. The role drives sales and profitability through food-program management, financial analysis, cost control, and merchandising. It also oversees inventory, vendor relationships, team development, food preparation, equipment maintenance, scheduling, and responses to operational or safety challenges.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of food service, QSR, or casual fast-food preparation leadership experience.
- Obtain and maintain locally required safe food handling certification.
- Strong leadership skills and a record of developing team members and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Business acumen and ability to use P&L statements and restaurant reports to identify opportunities and drive change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage customers, coach employees, and partner with vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily fresh food service operations and ensure compliance with health standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Manage food programs, analyze financial data, control costs, and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Manage inventory and vendor relationships, maintaining in-stock efficiency for top-selling items and accurate order fulfillment.
- Recruit, coach, and develop team members and foster a culture where employees excel and feel recognized.
- Oversee food preparation, quality standards, and equipment maintenance.
- Create work schedules, provide coverage as needed, and respond to safety incidents and operational challenges.
