About The Position

The Restaurant Leader (Manager) Trainee leads fresh food service operations within 7-Eleven’s In-Store Quick Serve Restaurant operations. The role focuses on creating an exceptional customer experience while ensuring compliance with health standards, company policies, and safety regulations. It drives sales and profitability through food program management, financial analysis, cost control, and merchandising strategies. The position also oversees inventory, vendor relationships, food preparation, quality standards, equipment maintenance, team development, scheduling, and responses to safety incidents and operational challenges.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of food service, QSR, or casual fast food preparation leadership experience.
• Obtain and maintain locally required safe food handling certification.
• Strong leadership abilities and a track record of developing team members and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Business mindset and ability to use P&L statements and restaurant reports to identify opportunities and drive positive change.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging customers, coaching employees, and partnering with vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and point-of-sale systems.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily fresh food service operations and ensure compliance with health standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Drive sales growth and profitability by managing food programs, analyzing financial data, controlling costs, and implementing merchandising strategies.
• Manage inventory and vendor relationships to maintain in-stock efficiency on top-selling items and accurate order fulfillment.
• Recruit, coach, and develop team members and foster a culture where employees excel and feel recognized.
• Oversee food preparation, quality standards, and equipment maintenance.
• Create and manage work schedules, provide coverage as needed, and respond to safety incidents and operational challenges.
