About The Position

Loews Nashville Hotel is seeking a warm and welcoming Host/Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for dining guests and help set the tone for their experience. The role manages reservations and guest flow, supports smooth restaurant service, and contributes to memorable visits that reflect the hotel’s standards. This is a part-time position on the PM shift. The role requires flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the restaurant.
Ability to obtain a TABC permit.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or restaurant hosting.
Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel’s reservation system.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Communicate estimated wait times and accommodate special seating requests when possible.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding hours, menus, and reservations.
Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction.
Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed.
Assist with guest recovery and resolve minor concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
