About The Position
The Chaz on the Plaza Host is responsible for greeting guests as they enter the restaurant, seating them appropriately and assisting the servers in providing attentive, courteous service to guests throughout their dining experience. He/she is also responsible for assisting the cashier in the collection of payment for all guest transactions.
Requirements
- English fluency required
- Must be able to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
- Ability to input and access information in computers.
- Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Willing and able to stand/walk for entire shift if needed
- Possess basic reading, writing and math skills
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service a PLUS
Responsibilities
- Approach all guests and employees with a smile.
- Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
- Be attentive of guests' needs assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
- Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
- Ability to answer the telephone according to standards.
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and specials in restaurant.
- Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
