Requirements

  • Ability to supervise restaurant activities in absence of Manager
  • Ability to control reservation book, accept reservations and enter them accurately into the record
  • Ability to maintain guest history files and use information to enhance repeat guests experience
  • Ability to assign work stations and pre-meal side work
  • Ability to inspect dining room and service areas to ensure completion of all tasks prior to start of meal period
  • Ability to maintain guest records to record arrival, cover count, seat assignment, turnover, availability
  • Ability to inspect menus to ensure cleanliness and acceptability
  • Ability to greet guests in a polite professional manner
  • Ability to determine guest needs, verify table availability, and assign appropriate table for seating
  • Ability to guide guests to appropriate table
  • Ability to assist guests with seating, and present menu
  • Ability to ensure removal of unnecessary place settings at occupied tables
  • Ability to notify server of guest seating, and communicate any special needs or requests
  • Ability to inspect dining room appearance constantly, and assign correction of deficiencies to appropriate team member
  • Ability to monitor dining room activity, and assist Servers and Assistants as needed to ensure performance to standard
  • Ability to assign post meal side work
  • Ability to promote and apply teamwork skills at all times
  • Ability to notify appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
  • Ability to be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members
  • Ability to execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Ability to comply with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Ability to comply with hotel standards, policies and rules
  • Ability to recycle whenever possible
  • Ability to remain current with hotel information and changes
  • Ability to comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
