Requirements
- Previous host, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
- Basic computer skills (reservation systems, Microsoft Office a plus)
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide a warm, professional first impression
- Manage reservations and seating using a rotation system
- Escort guests to tables and present menus
- Monitor dining room flow and seating availability
- Answer phones and accurately take reservations
- Communicate wait times and accommodate special seating requests when possible
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff on large parties or special requests
- Assist servers and bussers as needed during peak times
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entry area
- Observe service standards and escalate guest concerns when needed
