About The Position

The Restaurant Host/Hostess works in an assigned restaurant inside Orlando International Airport, as determined by management. The role welcomes guests, guides them to tables, presents menus, and helps maintain outstanding customer service according to brand standards. Hosts/hostesses maintain a clean and orderly host stand and dining area, support servers and other crewmembers, communicate guest concerns, and provide information about airport restaurants and the brands. The listed pay is $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging guests, maintaining company standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
Stand at the entrance to welcome guests.
Learn the restaurant menus and floor plans.
Show guests to their tables and present menus.
Distribute seating evenly among server sections.
Keep the host stand clean and orderly; clean menus and replace damaged copies as needed.
Assist servers when necessary, including helping set tables.
Maintain a pleasant and professional manner, including appropriate dress, speech, attitude, and energy.
Answer guest questions or find appropriate answers.
Communicate customer concerns and complaints to the manager on duty (MOD).
Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Keep display items clean and orderly.
Assist other crewmembers and alert them to customers’ needs.
Maintain a spotless work environment, including tables, chairs, banquettes, televisions, glass partitions, server and beverage stations, table settings, glassware, and flatware.
Participate in daily side work, including stocking glasses, linens, flatware, and condiments.
Maintain knowledge of the airport, terminal, restaurants, and brand information; provide guests with information and recommendations.
Maintain a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance and follow uniform and appearance guidelines.
Sweep and mop as needed.
Perform other assigned duties and side work.
Follow MCA policies and procedures, airport rules and regulations, and safety and food sanitation practices.
