About The Position

The Restaurant Bartender at the Norfolk Sheraton crafts and serves beverages with skill and speed while providing welcoming, attentive guest service. The role includes responsible alcohol service in accordance with liquor laws and company policies, maintaining and restocking the bar, preparing garnishes, completing opening and closing duties, accurately handling cash and tip reporting, and keeping workspaces sanitized and compliant with food safety standards. The position requires at least six months of bartending experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the duration of a shift, and a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

At least 6 months of bartending experience; a hospitality background is preferred.
Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications, or willingness to complete them within 60 days.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Friendly, energetic personality and strong professionalism.
