About The Position

The Restaurant Assistant General Manager oversees the complex day-to-day operations of a single restaurant or group of restaurants at an Eataly location and reports to the General Manager of Restaurants. The role works to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality, and guest experience standards. It requires an active, hands-on presence on the floor and a high level of hospitality toward guests and team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or associate degree.
At least 2 years of experience managing a large restaurant staff to accomplish sales and guest service goals.
Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maintain well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Italian cuisine and wine is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee restaurant operations to maximize profitability while upholding company mission, values, policies, quality, and guest experience standards.
Work actively on the floor using a hands-on approach.
Hire, assign, train, motivate, evaluate, and terminate team members as necessary.
Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to facilitate team members’ growth.
Manage inventory levels and replenish goods and operating materials.
Collaborate with other departments and corporate to plan activities and special events and share information.
Document, investigate, and resolve employee and guest incidents.
Maintain a high level of hospitality toward guests and within the team.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
