Respite Support Professional (PRN - Flexible Hours)
About The Position
As a Respite Assistant, you will provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in our clients home and out in the community. Schedule Flexible hours! Most shifts occur after 4pm Monday – Friday or on the weekends. Have fun with kids while their regular caregivers get a break. Be creative while engaging children in activities. Provide 1:1 care in the child’s home or in the community. Receive ongoing training and supervision. This is a great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
Nice To Haves
- Those 18 and over must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver, if required.
- Includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance.
