About The Position

A family in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, is seeking an energetic and dependable caregiver to provide community-based respite support for their son on alternating weekends. The position involves approximately 4–8 hours per week, scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. Pay is $14.13 per hour, with mileage reimbursement of $0.70 per mile when the child is in the provider’s vehicle. The child enjoys active and creative pursuits, including scooter rides, swimming, drawing, playing with cars, building activities, and visiting indoor play areas. Support may include outings to water parks, the YMCA, play areas, and local trails. The caregiver must provide close, consistent supervision. The child may run unexpectedly, has difficulty recognizing safety risks, and at times may isolate himself or engage in self-injurious behaviors. The provider must remain vigilant, respond quickly, and support the child in a safe, positive, and encouraging manner. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and have authority to hire or dismiss the Direct Care Worker.
