About The Position

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor provides direct respiratory care and supervises patient care and breathing treatments in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role includes conducting patient assessments, developing personalized care plans, addressing patient concerns, and supporting patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs throughout recovery. The supervisor contributes to patient rehabilitation and well-being as part of a collaborative team using advanced equipment and technology. The position is presented as an opportunity to join Encompass Health at a hiring event on Tuesday, November 10, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Cookeville in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• Associate's degree or higher from an accredited respiratory therapy program.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Supervisor or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients who need medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments.
• Create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs to support recovery.
