Requirements
- Minimum of two years respiratory therapy experience required.
- Associate's degree in respiratory care required.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner License in Nebraska required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
- Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical responsibilities required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with competency development and training preferred.
- Experience with quality assurance and policy processes preferred.
- Computer experience with information systems management preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assessing and initiating patient care needs within evidence-based and/or best practice respiratory care guidelines; communicating effectively with all interdisciplinary teams.
- Participate in discharge planning and/or ambulatory care in collaboration with the care transition team and/or durable medical equipment companies.
- Provide cardiopulmonary education and/or training to patients, caregivers and health care team members.
