About The Position
Under the supervision of the Director and/or Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and upon a physician’s request, the Respiratory Therapist sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and provides therapy used to diagnose and treat patients with respiratory disease, compromise, or illness. The role has full access to patient health information and may access medication storage areas, excluding controlled substances, as related to job responsibilities. The shift is 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.
Requirements
- Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- BLS certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Must be able to pass the basic FIT test for the position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment.
- Provide therapy used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory disease, compromise, or illness.
- Perform duties under the supervision of the Director and/or Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and upon a physician’s request.
