About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Cincinnati Downtown is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. The position is full-time in Cincinnati, Ohio, with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Compensation is $36.41 to $49.00 per hour, based on experience, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
Proof of graduation is required: college transcript/diploma (preferred), or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
Current state licensure is required.
ACLS is required within six months of hire. Agency RTs must have ACLS upon their first shift; PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of related experience is preferred.
College transcript or diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Teach and counsel patients and families.
