Respiratory Therapist - Full-time
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists play a central role in delivering compassionate treatment to patients during vulnerable and complex medical situations. The position is full-time, with day and night schedules available, in Fairhill, Ohio. The stated pay range is $34.92–$47 per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Provide proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma preferred, or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS within six months of hire. Agency Respiratory Therapists must have ACLS before their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of related experience is preferred.
- College transcript or diploma as proof of graduation is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
