Respiratory Therapist - Full Time Nights
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital - Cincinnati Downtown is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions, helping patients through vulnerable and difficult stages of recovery. The position is full-time, with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., in Cincinnati, Ohio. Compensation is $36.41 to $49.00 per hour, based on experience, and the position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma (preferred), or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS within six months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS before their first shift; PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of related experience is preferred.
- A college transcript or diploma is preferred as proof of graduation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
