About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a Joint Commission-accredited, 332-bed hospital in Kissimmee, Florida. The hospital offers services including emergency and trauma care, pediatric emergency care, maternity care, a Level II NICU, and other specialty services.

This position is scheduled for the night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The therapist delivers prescribed respiratory interventions, assesses patients’ respiratory status and progress, maintains equipment and safety compliance, collaborates with healthcare team members on patient care plans, and educates patients and families about respiratory health and equipment use.

Requirements

• Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a NICU setting is preferred.
