Respiratory Therapist (RT) / Nights - $15k Sign-on Bonus
About The Position
Regency Hospital is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. The position is based in Oregon, Ohio, with shifts at both the Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed. The role is full-time nights, working 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. in 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $33.43 to $45.00 per hour, based on years of experience, with night and weekend shift differentials. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma (preferred), or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS within six months of hire; agency Respiratory Therapists must have ACLS by their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of related experience is preferred.
- College transcript or diploma is preferred as proof of graduation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
