About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide inpatient respiratory care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery after intensive care. The role involves caring for patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions and providing compassionate treatment throughout their recovery. The position is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Full-time day and night schedules are available. Compensation is $32.69 to $44.00 per hour, based on experience, with shift differentials for nights and weekends. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma is preferred, or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
Hold current state licensure.
Obtain ACLS within six months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS before their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
