About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract on a respiratory unit focused on exceptional patient care through advanced respiratory therapies. The position is on night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, includes a weekend rotation, and has no on-call duties. The therapist will provide respiratory treatments and assessments, work with medical staff to monitor and enhance patient care, and develop appropriate treatment plans. The unit offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment and technology alongside an experienced respiratory therapy team. Staff are required to wear olive green tops and black bottoms.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Team-oriented approach and ability to work collaboratively.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Responsibilities
- Administer nebulized medications and oxygen therapy, and manage ventilators.
- Work closely with medical staff to monitor and enhance patient care.
- Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
