Respiratory Therapist - Full-Time Nights
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospitals are critical illness recovery hospitals providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable stages of recovery, including respiratory care for critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. The position is full-time in Columbus, Ohio, with 12-hour night shifts and compensation of $35.00–$47.10 per hour, depending on experience. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employees. Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or a state equivalent.
- Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma preferred, or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS within six months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS before their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

- One year of related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
