About The Position
AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. The position performs technical work involving therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. The hospital is a long-term acute care facility specializing in complex medical needs and uses a multidisciplinary approach that includes clinical and therapeutic interventions and family involvement.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
- Current BLS certification.
- One to three years of related work experience.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment, including continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing and hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices.
- Administer medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications.
- Maintain clearance of patients’ natural and artificial airways.
- Provide primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
