Respiratory Therapist - Full-time
About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care to chronic, critically ill patients in a critical illness recovery hospital delivering inpatient post-ICU care. The role includes evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, providing care for complex medical and surgical conditions, and supporting patients and families through teaching and counseling. The position is full-time, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus South on South High Street. Compensation is $35.00 to $47.10 per hour, based on experience, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. The hospital offers an extensive orientation program, tuition reimbursement and continuing education, a clinical ladder program, a student debt benefit program, and generous paid time off for full-time team members. Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma preferred, or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS within six months of hire; agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS before their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

- One year of related experience is preferred.
- College transcript or diploma is preferred as proof of graduation.
Responsibilities
