HI - Respiratory Therapist Tech - Days (02/15)
About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist Tech provides respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations. Responsibilities include continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care. This is a 15-week contract with a day schedule of 0630–1900, three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours). Hours are not guaranteed. Candidates must have a Hawaii respiratory therapist license by the start of the assignment. Travelers who do not already have an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of an offer. Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exception is required before the contract start date; vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- No first assignments.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- Hawaii respiratory therapist license by the start of the assignment; travelers without an active license must apply upon acceptance of an offer.
- Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exception before the contract start date.
Nice To Haves
- NRP certification is preferred.
- A current Hawaii license is preferred; candidates who have already submitted a Hawaii license application may be considered.
