Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Technologist (Contract) - Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia
About The Position
Crosswalk Health is seeking Respiratory Therapists (CRT or RRT) and Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT or RPFT) to perform simple spirometry testing (pre/post albuterol) at primary care clinics in Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia. This role is ideal for individuals who value a Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays, and offers flexible scheduling (1-5 days per week) as a 1099 contractor. The position provides competitive daily pay, clinical independence with a supportive team, and the opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding healthcare company. The primary responsibilities include visiting local primary care clinics to perform pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry testing, educating and coaching patients, safely administering albuterol, grading and uploading test results, maintaining equipment, and building relationships with patients and clinic teams.
Requirements
- Current CRT, RRT, CPFT, or RPFT credential
- Experience performing bedside spirometry or pulmonary function testing
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and safe albuterol administration
- Comfortable commuting to clinics throughout a region
- Available to work a flexible schedule

- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Visit local primary care clinics to perform pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry testing
- Educate and coach patients to ensure accurate, high-quality results
- Safely administer albuterol when indicated and monitor patients throughout testing
- Grade and upload completed testing for pulmonologist review
- Maintain testing equipment and follow quality and safety standards
- Build trusted relationships with patients and clinic teams while representing Crosswalk Health with professionalism and compassion
