About The Position

Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in non-critical care areas. May provide care in Adult Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit under the guidance and support of a Respiratory Therapist II or higher. Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation and/or training.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department, and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.
  • Certification Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license.
  • State of Nevada. Blood Gas Technologist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
  • For new blood gas license personnel applicants – you must apply within the first 14 days of hire.
