About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory treatment modalities in accordance with established policies and procedures and communicates relevant information to support continuity of care. The role delivers and delegates respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients using sound judgment and identifies appropriate multidisciplinary approaches to facilitate care. The therapist seeks knowledge about patients’ conditions, diseases, and treatments and reflects that knowledge in patient care, documentation, and team conferences.

This is a part-time position at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, for 16 hours per week. The schedule includes a 12-hour night shift every third weekend. The role may occasionally cover Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when outpatient tests are scheduled.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program.
• Registered through the NBRC.
• Licensed in Delaware or hold a valid temporary license, and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified in BLS.
