Respiratory Therapist - Nights
About The Position
Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. The role is full time, working nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., at Regency Hospital in Middleburg Heights. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The organization provides an extensive respiratory therapist orientation program, tuition reimbursement and continuing education, a clinical ladder program, and a student debt benefit program. Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma (preferred), or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS by their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of related experience is preferred.
- College transcript or diploma is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
