About The Position

This onsite, three-month contract role specializes in respiratory and neuro diagnostics for pediatric patient populations across PEDs floors, PICU, the ER, and NICU. The role requires floating between units and campuses in accordance with facility policy and census needs. Staff may float only to units for which they are qualified and may perform only tasks for which their competencies have been demonstrated and documented. The schedule is nights, three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30, with every other weekend coverage. Orientation is 16 hours and non-billable. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Requirements

Experience in ER, Pediatric Critical Care, and PEDs work settings.
At least one year of experience with the EPIC documentation system.
Proficiency with Pyxis and Omnicell medication systems.
Ability and willingness to float to qualified units and campuses per facility policy.
BLS certification.
NRP certification.
PALS certification.
SC RRT license.
RT license.
Flu vaccination; exemptions are not accepted.
Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostic care to patients across PEDs floors, PICU, ER, and NICU.
Use Pyxis and Omnicell medication systems.
Document care in EPIC.
Float to other units and/or campuses when requested due to census concerns, consistent with facility policy.
When floating, work only in units for which qualified and perform only tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented.
