About The Position

Plans, organizes, and directs the technical activities of cardiopulmonary staff. Performs administrative functions in support of the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and assists the Director with activities related to the department’s quality plan. Provides patient care through the administration of therapeutic gases and medications and the performance of respiratory care procedures. Maintains life support equipment, provides emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and performs diagnostic studies relevant to patients’ cardiopulmonary status. Directs departmental activities in the absence of the Department Manager and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited respiratory therapist program with an associate or baccalaureate degree.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Minimum of five years of comprehensive clinical experience with respiratory and critical care procedures.
• Current American Heart Association certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

• Registered or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist credential awarded by the NBRC.
• Current American Heart Association certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Previous supervisory experience in a respiratory care or cardiopulmonary department.

Responsibilities
