About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse population of chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures in PAM Health hospitals and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, along with other related duties as assigned. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, as is a commitment and desire to learn.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
Maintain equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
