Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)/Respiratory Therapist (RT) FT Days| Palo Alto Rehab
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide care for a diverse patient population at its Palo Alto rehabilitation hospital. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, along with other related duties. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, though a commitment and desire to learn are also suitable. PAM Health cares for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine respiratory therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for hospital patients.
- Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
