Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator
About The Position
The Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator provides leadership to the team and assists with the provision of high quality respiratory care. They handle the scheduling of respiratory care staffing, assist with the management of human and fiscal resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards. This role involves collaborating with other members of the healthcare team and working with the Medical Director of Respiratory Care and the Chief Nursing Officer in planning and implementing new programs and procedures. Additionally, the coordinator provides leadership for services including pulmonary function, inhalation challenge tests, EEG’s, Oximetry, EKG’s, and Sleep Lab services.
Requirements
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of adult respiratory care procedures and practices
- Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT or CRTT credentialed)
- Licensure by the State of Indiana as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Ability to plan and oversee respiratory care activities (normally obtained after minimum of three years of respiratory clinical experience)
- Proven ability to assess patient needs and administer complete pulmonary function tests and various respiratory therapy procedures (normally obtained with at least three years of clinical experience)
