About The Position

The Respiratory Care Shift Coordinator Nights will coordinate activities of Respiratory Care Staff, ensuring proper completion of all assigned work by RCPs. This role involves providing all aspects of therapeutic respiratory care based on established standards and administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care according to department policies and procedures. The coordinator will also maintain, evaluate, and operate respiratory care equipment, and respond to emergency situations in the hospital appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adult, and Geriatrics).

Requirements

BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within 30 days of start date.
Registered Respiratory Care Practitioners trained and assigned to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on a regular basis is required to obtain the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
