About The Position

Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care in the respiratory care department. Serves as a clinical resource to staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff member in the department as needed. Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physicians' orders. Assumes managerial duties delegated by the Supervisor, Manager and/or Director. Assess and evaluates employees' responsibilities in a manner consistent with Corporate Values. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements

Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
Current license in the state of practice.
One year as a respiratory therapist in a hospital setting.
Registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT).
Current BLS.
Current ACLS for Adult areas and NRP/PALS if working Neonatal/Pediatric areas.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree.
3-5 years RRT.
Trained in all areas (ICU, NICU, PICU, ED, CORE) or willing to be trained.
