About The Position
Provides instruction and service for identified learning handicapped pupils who are assigned to the regular classroom for a majority of a school day. Instructional needs are based on the student's Individual Education Program (IEP) developed by the IEP team.
Requirements

- Provide consultation, resource information, and material.
- Coordinate special education services with regular school programs.
- Monitor pupil progress.
- Participate in review and revision of individualized education programs.
- Refer pupils who do not indicate appropriate progress.
Responsibilities
- Provides information and assistance to individuals with exceptional needs and to their parents.
- Provides consultation, resource information, and material regarding individuals with exceptional needs to their parents and to regular staff members.
- Coordinate the special education services with the regular school programs for each individual with exceptional needs enrolled in the Resource Specialist Program.
- Monitors pupil progress on a regular basis, participates in the review and revision of individualized education programs as appropriate, and refers pupils who do not indicate appropriate progress to the Individualized Education Program aide(s).
