About The Position
The Resort Hair Stylist provides professional salon services in Callaway Resort & Gardens’ resort spa and salon. The role includes consulting with guests about their needs and preferences, delivering personalized service, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, and supporting a welcoming guest experience. The stylist also helps manage appointments, promotes appropriate products and services, maintains guest and service records, assists with inventory, and collaborates with spa staff and other resort departments. Support for weddings, special events, bridal parties, group bookings, and seasonal demand may be required. The schedule may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak resort periods. Physical requirements may include standing for extended periods and safely handling salon tools and products.
Requirements
- Current cosmetology license in the state of Georgia.
- Proficiency in hair cutting, styling, blowouts, and other applicable salon services.
- Strong communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing guest needs and a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a polished, professional appearance and a high standard of service.
- Flexibility to accommodate guest appointments, weddings, special events, and seasonal demand.
Nice To Haves
- Previous salon experience preferred.
- Resort, hotel, spa, or luxury hospitality experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide haircuts, blowouts, styling, shampooing, conditioning, coloring, highlighting, and other services within the stylist’s qualifications.
- Consult with guests to understand their needs, preferences, and desired results, and recommend appropriate services and products.
- Deliver personalized service that supports exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of current hair trends, techniques, products, and professional standards.
- Recommend and promote appropriate retail products and additional services.
- Maintain accurate service records, appointment information, and guest preferences as required.
- Manage appointment schedules, accommodate guest requests when possible, and communicate scheduling needs with the spa team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting salon in accordance with resort standards and applicable health and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with spa professionals, front desk personnel, and other resort departments to provide seamless guest service.
- Support resort weddings, special events, bridal parties, and group bookings as needed.
- Assist with salon inventory, product organization, and supply management.
- Follow resort policies, procedures, grooming standards, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the spa, salon, and resort.
- Anticipate guest needs, provide personalized recommendations, maintain professional standards, and create a welcoming experience.
