About The Position

JCPenney Salon is seeking a hair stylist to provide professional styling services and create a superior client experience. The stylist determines clients’ needs and delivers services including current haircuts, finishing, and chemical services. The role calls for building a client base, working collaboratively with salon team members, and responding to clients through attentive listening and interaction.

The position offers commission-based service sales, the ability to set service pricing, flexible scheduling, paid artistic training, retail commission when providing a service, client acquisition programs, and potential career paths. Commission depends on credential level, sales, and productivity. The posted pay range is USD $15.00–$16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Maintain a current cosmetology license in the state where applying.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, people skills, and a passion for the beauty industry.
• Be able to build a client base and partner with salon team members.
• Be willing to participate in a learning environment.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, sound decision-making, accountability, and a customer-service orientation.
