Requirements

  • Completion of or the ability to complete an OSHA‑10 course (or proof of prior completion).
  • Ability to use a respirator and complete a required fit test as part of essential safety procedures.
  • Commitment to a substance‑free work environment.
  • Experience with basic construction techniques (e.g., painting, carpentry).
  • Ability to apply coatings using brushes and rollers.
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions) to determine mix ratios during project work.
  • Ability to read and understand chemical data sheets and follow application instructions.
  • Valid Vermont driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to reliably report to the workshop and travel to job sites.
  • Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, professional work environment and follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Review project folders, work instructions, and product data sheets.
  • Prepare materials and equipment required for each project.
  • Prepare floor surfaces, including grinding, shot blasting, sanding, vacuuming, and repairing substrates.
  • Mix and install floor coatings using drills, squeegees, rollers, brushes, and other specialized tools.
  • Clean, maintain, and return tools and equipment to designated locations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, teammates, and supervisors.
  • Travel daily from the workshop to project sites within Vermont and Northern New York; occasional overnight travel with notice.
