About The Position

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is hiring a full-time Adult Residential Support Professional for its Grandstone/Eastwood locations in Appleton, Wisconsin. Staff have a primary home base and may work at either facility as needed; the two locations are eight minutes apart. The schedule is 40 hours per week, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., including every other weekend. Starting pay is $17.75 per hour. Grandstone and Eastwood are two 8-bed Community Based Residential Facilities that provide 24-hour care for adults in crisis. The role supports adults experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges in a safe, recovery-focused environment. Staff help residents develop daily living skills and work toward greater independence through support with medication management, transportation, educational groups, and individualized recovery goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Reliable transportation is required.
Ability to pass background, caregiver, and medical screenings.

Nice To Haves

Experience in mental health, crisis services, or human services.
College coursework in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, recovery-focused support to residents.
Help de-escalate crisis situations using non-restrictive techniques.
Assist with daily living skills, medication administration, and basic healthcare needs.
Facilitate educational and recovery-based group activities.
Transport residents to appointments and community resources.
Document resident progress and maintain confidential records.
Encourage independence through skill-building and positive role modeling.
Assist with household tasks, including light cleaning and grocery shopping.
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
