About The Position

As a Residential Specialist, you’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence. This position is located in Chula Vista and is scheduled Sunday through Wednesday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pay is $20.00 to $20.65. The role includes providing hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting; assisting with daily activities; encouraging independence and progress toward personal goals; and creating a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment. The employer seeks a compassionate, adaptable, responsible, and reliable team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills who enjoys helping others.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
Compassionate, adaptable, responsible, and reliable, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A passion for making a difference.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.
